Saint-Saëns composed Danse Macabre (Dance of Death) based on a French artistic genre of allegory about Death appearing every Halloween at midnight to summon all walks of life to dance to the grave.
The Summer Wildwind Flute Choir took on the challenge of performing this piece that depicts death leading skeletons across graves in a fanatical waltz and other spooky affairs.
